A new place for contemporary art

The Bourse de Commerce in Paris offers a view of contemporary art through the collection of works that François Pinault has assembled over the past forty years. It presents exhibitions, events, "cartes blanches" and site-specific projects.

Since the 1970s, François Pinault has assembled a collection of more than 10,000 works, representative of art from the 1960s to the present day, with the desire to share his passion as a collector and art lover with the widest possible audience. Through this singular vision, the collection testifies to a faithful support for artists, a constant exploration of new creative territories, and an openness to all art disciplines, all generations, and all artistic scenes.

The Bourse de Commerce offers ten exhibition galleries, reception and mediation spaces. They can accommodate different proposals or be articulated in a continuum. A 284-seat auditorium will host conferences, meetings, screenings, concerts, etc. The Studio, a vast "black box" located in the basement, will be conducive to the presentation of video and sound works. The Foyer, surrounding the Auditorium, will also host performances, installations and free forms.
